
Newfoundland sea monster saga Below, starring Josh Harnett, will open this year’s Primetime at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and Mike Flanagan’s Vancouver-shot adoption of the Stephen King classic Carrie will close the program.
Audiences get to see one or two episodes of each series and participate in conversations with cast and creators.
Other must-see world premieres include Canadian witchy mystery series Yaga, starring Carrie-Anne Moss, Hudson Williams and Noah Reid,, which was filmed in Victoria, BC.

And Shawn Ryan’s anthology series American Hostage, starring Jon Hamm ,which was shot in Winnipeg.

Plus the season 6 premiere of the UK spy thriller Slow Horses, starring Gary Oldman.
