What’s Sterling Point about?
Seventeen-year-old Annie (Ella Rubin) leads a perfect, privileged life in New York City, but her life with her widowed adoptive father (Jay Duplass) and her twin brother (Keen Ruffalo) is thrown off-course when she inherits a charming Canadian island from her late grandfather. She decides to go to Sterling Point to uncover the mystery, meeting a bunch of new friends and faces along the way.

The Muskokas:
Creator Megan Park, who grew up summering in the Muskokas two hours north of Toronto, wanted to set a series there to celebrate cottage life, which is a big part of Canadian culture especially in Ontario.
Much of Sterling Point was filmed in studio in Toronto but the show did go on location to Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph in the Muskoka Lakes region of Ontario, where celebrities like Kurt Russell & Goldie Hawn,, the Beckhams, and Rande Gerber & Cindy Crawford have multi-million dollar estates on the water — which explains the Kaia Gerber shoutout.
I feel like Muskoka is actually the main character of the show. Everything is so beautiful when you’re surrounded by trees and lakes — Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie to Toronto Life.
