Season 4 of Paramount+ School Spirits, starring Peyton List, is in production in Vancouver.
Maddie Nears (Peyton List) and her friends dive into a deeper, darker mystery at Spirit River High as the veil between the living and spirit worlds grows dangerously thin, delivering twists that challenge everything they thought they knew.
At the end of season 3, the villainous old spirit Alfred Van Heidt (Michael Adamthwaite) body-snatched Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price (Jennifer Tilly) and set fire to Split River High, — perhaps freeing the ghosts trapped in its boundary. Alfred then left Dr. Hunter-Price to enter Maddie’s Mom Sandra (Maria Dizziaz)’s body in a cliffhanger.

Who ‘s back?
Peyton List is back as Maddie Nears, still in her own body after spending most of the first two seasons in the spirit world.
Kristan Venturaf is back as Simon Elroy, who got out of the spirit world in time to hit Alfred-possessed Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price with a fire extinguisher.
Among the living, Spencer MacPherson as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole Herrera and Rainbow Wedell as Claire Zomer are back.
Among the ghosts, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese as Charley, Ci Hang Ma as Quinn, and Miles Elliot as Yuri are back.
And Josh Zuckerman is back as spirit Mr. Martin, who appears to have survived the season 3 finale.
Maria Dizzia as Maddie’s Mom Sandra is back in a bigger role now that Van Heidt has taken over her body.
Who may not be back?
Milo Manheim may not be back as spirit Wally Clark because the actor is cast in the big live-action musical Tangled. He jokes that he’s not in the season 4 cast photo because he “forgot to switch out of [his] ghost form”. But Maddie didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to Wally, who’s trapped on the ghost road, and there is more story to tell so he might appear later in the season.

Jennifer Tilly as Dr. Deborah Hunter-Price may not be back depending what happened with her character..
We’ll have to wait and see with other characters like Ari Dalbert as Kyle, Erika Swayze as Livi, Zack Calderon as Diego, Patrick Gilmore as Mr. Anderson, Alex Zahara as Principal Harman and Ian Tracey as Sheriff Baxter.
