Falling Skies returned to the Chinese Cultural Centre of Vancouver’s inner courtyard and the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden for five afternoon and night shoots this month so far. Star Trek Next Generation’s Jonathan Frakes directed these scenes for season four’s sixth episode. Little could be seen of filming because the courtyard and Garden were closed to the public during the three days before Canada’s Remembrance Day long weekend and two days after.

Falling Skies is about Boston’s Mason family and others who make up a small band of resistance fighters called 2nd Mass (2nd Massachusetts) who have rebelled against an occupying alien force on Earth for three-plus seasons now. Fan Sean Koo kept a lookout for patriarch Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) and his three sons — eldest Hal (Drew Roy), once-harnassed middle son Ben (Connor Jessup) and youngest son Matt (Maxim Knight) — near the Chinatown sets and met two out of four last Tuesday.
