Set in Los Angeles. Filmed in Vancouver? Now that The Walking Dead has wrapped its fifth season with a bloodied Rick (Andrew Lincoln) killing an Alexandrian, attention turns to its spinoff Fear the Walking Dead. The six-episode companion series is expected to start filming five episodes in Vancouver later this spring and to premiere on A&E late this summer. Which is a surprise and not yet confirmed on any local film or production list. Fear The Walking Dead stars Kim Dickens who described her character to Entertainment Weekly as a “bad-ass, Sigourney Weaver-type character”. Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, and Alycia Debnam co-star. Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman promises the new series will be “startling different”.
