Based on the novels by Robyn Carr, Virgin River follows Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), a nurse and midwife who moves to the small California town from Los Angeles after her husband Mark dies. There she falls for restaurant/bar owner and former marine Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) but their romance is complicated.
Mel was pregnant when season 3 ended but she doesn’t know if the father is Jack or Mark. Fans will find out the identity of the father by the end of season 4 which drops Wednesday on Netflix.
Season 4 wrapped filming last December.

Mel’s cabin is played by the 70-year-old McCrea cabin in North Vancouver’s Murdo Frazer Park, with interiors in studio.
