The Boys fifth and final season teaser gives us a first look at the much-anticipated on-screen reunion of Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.
The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke famously created the long-running Vancouver-filmed Supernatural series, with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as demon-hunting brothers Sam and Dean Winchester and Misha Collins as angel Castiel.
Jensen Ackles was the first of Supernatural’s main trio to enter the world of The Boys. Season 3 brought him into Kripke’s effed-up superheroes universe as Homelander’s father Soldier Boy..
And put him into a coma at the end of it.
But as we can see in the final season teaser, Homelander has rescued his father from the government facility and placed his chamber in The Seven’s Vought Tower headquarters.

At some point, Soldier Boy is revived in time for this on-screen reunion with Jared Padalecki in an undisclosed role — filmed at the end of March in Toronto.

What’s The Boys about?
A group of vigilantes – called The Boys – come together to take down the superhero company Vought and their top :”supes” The Seven
Season 4 ended with Homelander (Antony Starr) in control of the new U.S. President and an army of supes. This season will be the last chance for Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and the Boys to defeat Homelander.
The show is a serialized story that is about [Billy] Butcher and Homelander slowly crashing into each other, and the show doesn’t work without either of those. So, you just can’t keep that going on forever, or you have to let them smash into each other. — Eric Kripke to The Hollywood Reporter.
What’s the final season about?
In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s (Antony Starr) world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims. Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz (Alonso) and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) are imprisoned in a ‘Freedom Camp’. Annie (Erin Moriarty) struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) is nowhere to be found.
But when Butcher (Karl Urban) reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it. It’s the climax, people. Big stuff’s gonna happen.
