Who knew the Sammy the Seagull mascot costume from season six’s Deadman’s Curveball would be available for sale to the public at the Psych studio sale? Someone snapped that up early on.
But the skunk costume remained until I mentioned to one of the security guys that it hadn’t been sold yet. He arranged a quick break and that was that. I’d have been satisfied with a Santa Barbara Seabirds jersey but a man who looked like he could have been one of the baseball player extras in Vancouver’s Nat Bailey stadium wasn’t letting go. He kindly let me photograph it and his SBPD cap though. As did a fan with her Blackapella jacket find.
After striking out on Seabirds memorabilia I looked for a pineapple prop of some kind, but either didn’t find the section or every other fan was thinking the same thing. Psych filmed for eight seasons in Vancouver and will be missed.
