Disney Channel’s live-action movie Descendants about the teenage children of classic Disney villains and heroes is back in Vancouver today at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre at the University of British Columbia dressed as Auradon Preparatory school — Goodness Doesn’t Get Any Better — to host a Tournament.

What is this TV movie about? The first proclamation by the heir to the throne of Auradon is to give amnesty to the teen descendants of banished Disney villains and ask them to join him and the descendants of Disney heroes at the same prep school. What could go wrong? Here’s the main quartet of banished teens: Mal (Dove Cameron), daughter of Maleficent (Kristin Chenoweth); Jay (Booboo Stewart) son of Jafar (Maz Jobrani); Carlos (Cameron Boyce), son of Cruella De Vil (Wendy Raquel Robinson); and Evie (Sofia Carson), daughter of the Evil Queen (Kathy Najimy) in a photo taken at what looks like the Terminal City Ironworks complex in east Vancouver at the start of filming.
The teen descendants of Disney heroes are led by the young heir Ben (Mitchell Hope), son of Belle (local actor Keegan Connor Tracy) and the Beast (local actor Dan Payne), and joined by Lonnie (local actor Dianne Doan), daughter of Mulan; Chad (local actor Jedidiah Goodacre), son of Cinderella; Audrey (local actor Sarah Jeffery), daughter of Sleeping Beauty; Doug (local actor Zachary Gibson), son of Dopey; and Jane (Brenna D’Amico) daughter of the Fairy Godmother.
