WRAP: DESCENDANTS 2 With Dove Cameron Has Wrapped Filming in Vancouver & Victoria

Disney’s Descendants 2 has wrapped filming in Vancouver/Victoria. Director Kenny Ortega shared a photo of a cast hug. In the sequel to the wildly popular fairy tale musical Descendants — about the teenage children of classic Disney villains and heroes — Belle and the Beast’s son Ben (Mitchell Hope) goes “bad to the bone”. King Ben fits right in with Cruella’s son Carlos (Cameron Boyce), the Evil Queen’s daughter Evie  (Sofia Carson), Maleficent’s daughter Mal (Dove Cameron), and Jafar’s son Jay (Booboo Stewart),. Directed and choreographed by Kenny Ortega (High School Musical), Descendants 2 began filming in Vamcouver on September 8th after weeks of rehearsals at the Bridge Studios. New villain Descendants include China Anne McClain as Uma, daughter of Ursula, Thomas Doherty as Harry, son  of Captain Hook and Dylan Playfair (Some Assembly Required) as Gil, son of Gaston (Beauty and the Beast).

Descendants 2 started filming in metro Vancouver on September 8th and wrapped this week.

After two and a half months, #Descendants2 came to what felt like an abrupt end a couple of days ago… I'm completely homesick, my body is exhausted and I'm mentally drained. That being said, some part of me doesn't want to leave. I don't want to leave because the tired I just described is my trophy for being a part of this unique and humbling project. We went crazy on this one guys. Im so grateful to have been a part of such an inclusive and creative group with talent busting at the seams… I'm super excited for people to see a new side of Carlos, and most of all, I'm so incredibly proud of my #D2 family. I think we have a winner. 🍎👊💥
