What if you had the power to decide who lives and who dies?
Fresh off a week of additional photography in metro Vancouver, Netflix’s American adaption of horror manga Death Note dropped its first teaser today.
Natt Wolff is Seattle high school student Light Turner who finds a supernatural notebook abandoned by the God of Death (voiced by Willem Dafoe) that allows him to kill people by writing their names in it. Light decides to use it as a force of good by compiling a list of evil people and so he becomes known as Kira, the Japanese word for Killer.
Margaret Qualley is Mia Sutton who seeks him out intent on becoming the second Kira to create a world “cleansed of evil”.
Keith Stanfield is the detective known as L who tries to stop them.
