IT HAPPENED: THE X-FILES Fox Mulder & Dana Scully (David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson) Met William

Dana Scully finally met William, the son she gave up for adoption so many years ago, on tonight’s episode. The 17-year-old, whose adoptive name is Jackson, figures in an X-File which brings agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) to his town.

William seemingly dies in an attack that kills his adoptive parents. But his hybrid alien DNA has given him unique powers — like the ability to project a false image of himself as a corpse. Scully talks to her seemingly dead son in his bedroom and later at the morgue.

He escapes the morgue only to run into the men trying to kill him. After he eliminates the threat, he leaves the building wearing the face of the Asian author of a book he likes, where he has a brief conversation with his birth Mom.

They meet again at a gas station.

“Are you following me?” William asks his birth Mom, while wearing the face of the Asian author.

Scully doesn’t know she’s talking to her son.

My photo:

“You seem like a nice person”, William says while wearing the face of the Asian author. “I wish I could know you better”.

“If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything,” he says as he gets in his car and drives off.

My photo:

Scully tells Mulder, “he seemed so familiar”, and they belatedly realize who he was.

Gas station surveillance footage proves it. Scully watches herself talking to her son while Mulder holds her.

Why do Mulder and Scully stop at this particular gas station? She sees a windmill like a the one in a snow globe she found in her son’s room.

The X-Files filmed these sequences at a gas station in West Vancouver last Fall.

Production closed Marine Drive for 10 minutes at a time to film the surveillance footage. I was so lucky to see that sequence.

Here’s where it happened. On Marine Drive in West Vancouver.

The X-Files airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on FOX.
