Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades) makes a big entrance in the Bad Times at the El Royale trailer.

Bad Times at the El Royale filmed in metro Vancouver from late January to early April this year, partly on this massive hotel set built at Coquitlam’s Pipeline Park.

Other Dakota Johnson images from trailer:

Drew Goddard wrote and directed this 60s noir thriller.

Cast: Jeff Bridges, Dakota Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, Jon Hamm, Cynthia Erivo, Cailee Spaeny and Lewis Pullman.

Jeff “the Dude” Bridges is a convict pretending to be a priest so he can find stolen loot he stashed in the hotel years before.

Dakota Johnson is the older sister of Cailee Spaeny’s character.

Chris Hemsworth (Avengers) is a charismatic — and often shirtless —  cult leader looking to recapture a follower who got away.

Tony winner Cynthia Erivo is a down-on-her-luck singer who crosses paths with the others.

Around town:

Jeff Bridges was spotted on set in Agassiz and downtown at the Beatty Street Drill Hall.
