The CW Cancels CHARMED After Four Seasons of Filming in Vancouver.
The CW has cancelled Charmed after four seasons of filming in Vancouver.
We just got some bad news: The CW has decided to cancel #Charmed, so our upcoming finale on June 10 will be our last episode. It sucks. No other way to put it. But we are SO proud of this final season and hope you’ll stick around with us til the end.

Charmed joins veteran Arrowverse series Legends of Tomorrow (7 seasons of filming in Vancouver) and Batwoman (3 seasons of filming in Vancouver) on the chopping block.

The CW also axed veteran series Dynasty (5 seasons of filming in Atlanta), Legacies (4 seasons of filming in Atlanta); Roswell, New Mexico (4 seasons of filming in New Mexico); In the Dark (4 seasons of filming in Toronto) and newbies Naomi and The 4400 (both filmed in Atlanta) today.
And picked up three new series: Gotham Knights (pilot filmed in Toronto); The Winchesters (pilot filmed in New Orleans) and Walker: Independence (pilot filmed in Santa Fe).
Gone are the days when The CW renewed almost its entire slate of series year after year and gave shows a final season for the writer/producers to come to a satisfying conclusion.
The proposed sale of The CW plays a role in these decisions as do new cost-cutting Discovery bosses now that the Warner Bros. Discovery merger has closed..
There are five CW shows left that film in Vancouver: The Flash renewed for season 9, Riverdale renewed for season 7, Nancy Drew renewed for season 4, Superman & Lois renewed for season 3 and Kung Fu renewed for season 3.
