ABC’s ALASKA DAILY With Pregnant Hilary Swank Wraps Filming Season One in Vancouver
New ABC series Alaska Daily, starring Hilary Swank, has wrapped shooting season one in metro Vancouver.
For the past five months, Alaska Daily has filmed the story of big New York City journalist Eileen Fitzgerald (Hilary Swank) who comes to Alaska to look into missing, and murdered indigenous women cases. iIn a reluctant partnership with local reporter Roz Friendly (Grace Dove).

At the start:
Eileen learns that there’s more to a cold case of abducted teen Gloria and perhaps nefarious reasons why the police and courts haven’t pursued it.
In the Fall Finale, the “Concerned Citizen” , who has been threatening Eileen, shows up at her office and takes her hostage at gunpoint.
You spread lies and suppress the truth. And now you’re dead – Concerned Citizen.
We’ll find out what happens when Alaska Daily returns February 23rd.

Best written show on tv for a long time. Hope it is renewed for a second season.
I really like this series. I miss it when it is not on. Seasonal breaks are to long but everyone needs a rest sometime.
A great show & the characters all work well together. Great story lines. It’s a different concept & it touches on great drama. I hope they get renewed. There isn’t anything as good as this show on TV.
As a national correspondent who got his start in Anchorage, I love it. The Anchorage Daily News won 3 Pulitzer prizes for public service reporting in the last 30 years, more than almost any newspaper. Any idea if it will return for a season two?

Excellent script. A little coarse in some areas
I’ve really enjoyed the show. All of the actors did a fantastic job. It was great seeing Hillary Swank I hadn’t seen her in anything in quite a while, sure hoping for a second season.
This is an excellent show with a difficult subject matter. It is treated with respect by the actors and I will miss it if they are not renewed. Hillary Swank is perfect, but I really warmed up to her partner, Roz, quickly, and Jeff Perry is a long time favorite! I hope they bring it back for Season 2!!
