Freeform’s THE WATCHFUL EYE Teaser With Mariel Molino as Manhattan Nanny
Freeform thriller The Watchful Eye, with Mariel Molino as a rich family’s nanny, released its first teaser. Vancouver cosplayed as Manhattan for the series.
The Watchful Eye follows Elena Santos, a young woman with a complicated past, maneuvering her way into working as a live-in nanny for an affluent family in Manhattan.
She quickly learns that everyone in the mysterious The Greybourne building has deadly secrets and ulterior motives. What they don’t know, however, is that Elena has some shocking secrets of her own.
The two-episode premiere airs January 30th at 9 p.m. on Freeform and streams on Hulu.
Episode 1×01: Hen in the Fox House.

Episode 1×02: Hide and Seek.
While bonding with the other nannies, Elena learns that the Wards’ previous nanny vanished without warning. Elena continues her search of The Greybourne and discovers a shocking truth.
The Watchful Eye comes from Grace and Frankie showrunner, Julie Durk.
The pilot filmed in Chicago in the Fall of 2021 with Andrea Londo as Elena but she was recast with Mariel Molino.
Emily Fox is the new showrunner.

Characters:
Mariel Molino is Elena, the new live-in nanny to a wealthy widower and his young son at a landmark Manhattan apartment building, The Greybourne.
Warren Christie is Matttew, the self-made architect and widower recovering from his wife’s recent death.
Amy Acker is Tory, who resented her young sister and now keeps inserting herself into the life of her widower brother-in-law and nephew.
Kelly Bishop is the wealthy, imperious Mrs. Ivey who rules the roost and gets her way at The Greybourne.
Jon-Michael Ecker is Elena’s boyfriend Scottie, who’s sharper than he looks and plays a long game.
Lex Lumpkin is teenage Elliott, who lives in The Greybourne with his wealthy parents.
Henry Joseph Samiri is Matthew’s son Jasper, who’s still reeling from the recent death of his mother.
Aliyah Royale is another nanny Ginny, working alongside Elena at The Greybourne.

The Watchful Eye has been spotted filming in downtown Vancouver at Belkin House, in the 700 block of Hornby and several other locations and at Helen’s Diner on Main Street.
