Teaser for Global Thriller THE POWER With Toni Collette & Auli’i Cravalho Premiering March 31st

Every revolution starts with a spark. Electrifying global thriller The Power, with Toni Collette and Auli’i Cravalho, premieres March 31st on Amazon Prime Video.

The Power is our world, but for one twist of nature. Suddenly, and without warning, teenage girls develop the power to electrocute people at will. The series features a cast of remarkable characters from London to Seattle, Nigeria to Eastern Europe, as the Power evolves from a tingle in teenagers’ collarbones to a complete reversal of the power balance of the world.

Adapted from Naomi Alderman’s novel, The Power filmed for 11 months around the world from London to South Africa to Vancouver.

Auliʻi Cravalho (The Little Mermaid) is Margot Cleary-Lopez’s  daughter Jos who is able to awaken her mother’s power.

Gerrison Machado is Matt Cleary-Lopez. Pietra Castro is Izzy Cleary-Lopez.

Josh Charles is Daniel Dandon, the macho Washington State Governor and thorn in Margot’s side.

Toheeb Jimoh as Tunde Ojo, a Nigerian journalist reporting on  the growing power of women around the planet

Eddie Marsan as London crime boss Bernie Monke and Ria Zmitrowicz as Roxy Monke, his illegitimate daughter.

Zrinka Cvitešić as Tatiana Moskalev, the wife of the Moldovan President Viktor Moskalev.

Halle Bush as Allie Montgomery.

Originally The Power had planned to start production in Vancouver in the Spring of 2020 but the Covid-19 pandemic put a stop to that. 

Instead production on The Power started in the U.K. in 2021 with the Leslie Mann and Tim Robbins (since recast) spotted on set and filmed in a number of locations including Fairford, Lechlade, a large convent on the outskirts of Bowdsey and the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in south London.. From the U.K., The Power went on to film in South Africa.
