For the first time in New York history, people froze to death in the middle of July.
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire features the new Ghostbusters — Mr. Grooberson (Paul Rudd) and the late Egon’ Spengler’s kin (Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace) — in a frozen New York City.
They team up with the original Ghostbusters — Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stanz (Dan Aykroyd) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) — to thaw out the Big Apple..

The sequel Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire filmed for two months on soundstages in the U.K.
Paul Rudd took time out from production on the sequel in the U.K. to celebrate the big win by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s Welsh football team Wrexham AFC.

Production then moved to New York City for a couple of weeks of on-location filming.
