BC-filmed Percy Jackson and the Olympian’s season premiere introducing Walker Scobell as the young demigod has amassed over 26 million views in its first three weeks on Disney+ (and Hulu in the U.S.), according to Deadline: Hollywood.
Disney+ defines views as hours viewed divided by runtime.
The season premiere — titled I Accidentally Vaporize My Pre-Algebra Teacher – features a school trip to New York’s Metropolitan Museum that goes horribly wrong and leads to Percy’s expulsion.
Based on Rick Riordan’s best-selling book series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) who’s just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus (Lance Reddick) accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt.
With help from his friends Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians simulated many interiors — like New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art— using a giant virtual LED wall aka the Volume so that actors would have something to respond to, VFX supervisor Jeff White told a crowd at New York Comic Con.
