In a separate EW clip, we see them on the road where Russell smashes Colter’s phone and then cuts an RFID chip out of his brother’s neck.
Does this have something to do with aliens or UAPS (unidentified anomalous phenomena) as Russell says UFOs are properly known?
Episode 2: Ontological Shock. Reenie (Fiona Rene) recruits Russell Shaw (Jensen Ackles) for help after Colter (Justin Hartley) suddenly disappears during his search for a missing father.
Jensen Ackles took time out from his very busy schedule prepping his now-filming Amazon Prime Video series Countdown in Los Angeles to fly up to Vancouver in late July for three days on set for Tracker — some of it driving on Langley back roads in Russell’s classic 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible (a nod to the Supernatural star’s Dean Winchester and his 1967 Chevrolet Impala aka Baby).

How did this casting come about? Jensen Ackles texted Justin Hartley about some great promos he’d seen for the upcoming Tracker which launched after the 2024 Super Bowl and Hartley texted him back — You should come play my brother. Ackles replied — When and where?

There’s more to learn about Colter’s family in season 2. When we met Colter in season one, he believed that his older brother Russell had caused their father’s death 20 years before but in the second-to-last episode, Russell convinced him someone else was responsible.. And we’ll learn that Russell has very different memories of something that happened in their past.
