Prime Video’s new YA series Every Year After, adapted from Canadian Carley Fortune’s best-selling Ontario cottage country romance Every Summer After, has shifted the location of” Barry’s Bay” to British Columbia.
Bowen Island, a short ferry ride away from West Vancouver, is one of the locations for Barry’s Bay.

What’s Every Summer After about?

What if your first love was actually your soulmate?
Percy and Sam fall in love over six childhood summers together at a lake in Ontario’s Cottage Country: spending afternoons on the water and nights working in the family restaurant and curling up together with books — stories for her and medical textbooks for him.
Once inseparable, their romance falls spectacularly apart. A decade later Percy returns to the lake for Sam’s mother’s funeral. Their connection is undeniable but is their love bigger than the mistakes of their past?
Prime Video, which has a hit series in YA romance The Summer I Turned Pretty, is leaning into the genre with new romances Off Campus and now Every Year After.
