Two Weddings and ……..
Upload Complete: the final four episodes of the Vancouver-filmed digital afterlife comedy starring Robbie Amell as two versions of digital Nathan, are streaming on Prime Video.
Upload is set in the near future, when people can pay to be digitally uploaded before death to a virtual afterlife like the pricey Lakeview resort.
In the final four episodes, sentient AI rapidly turns evil, threatening to wipe out Lakeview (and the world!). On top of greedy executives, lingering mysteries, plus heartbreak in VR and IRL, our characters are tested like never before. The only way they can get through it all and save humanity from deletion is by teaming up one last time.
What was the season 3 cliffhanger?
Season 3 featured two Nathans played by Robbie Amell.
Original Nathan was living his best life with his former Lakeview customer “Angel” Nora (Andy Allo ), after being downloaded into his body in the real world.
And the backup Nathan was living in Lakeview’s digital afterlife with Ingrid (Allegra Edwards).
At season’s end, one of the Nathans was seemingly destroyed.
Fourth & Final Season:
It’s OG Nathan who’s gone. A grieving Nora goes into a dark spiral but pulls out of it enough to attend backup Nathan and Ingrid (Allegra Edwards)’s wedding.

But it turns out OG Nathan isn’t gone. He’s been abducted by Horizen scientists who are experimenting on him. This is scrambling his brain and erasing his memories.
OG Nathan manages to escape and reunites with Nora., but it’s too late. He’s deteriorating and his time is short , so they get married in virtual reality.
OG Nathan tells Nora: “Because of you, I became who I wanted to be….you’re the love of my life — this one, and the next one, and the one after that, and the one after that.”
And then he disappears from the simulation. When Nora removes her headset she sees that her Nathan has died.
No cliffhanger this season!.. Well, maybe a small one. — Robbie Amell.
