News that this would be the final season happened when cast and crew were about to wrap production on season 4 in Ontario. Did they have time to craft a good ending?

What ‘s the final season about?
New journeys and revelations await the Landry family across generations. At the beginning of season 4, Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) is about to graduate high school, Kat (Chyler Leigh) and Elliot (Evan Williams) dream of the next steps for their relationship, while Del (Andie MacDowell) realizes she will soon be an empty-nester again.
But Del, Kat, Alice and Elliot should know by now that no matter how hard they try to focus on the future, the past is never gone. As more mysteries are unearthed, the Port Haven of the past and the Landry family of generations before might just contain the answers they seek.

New to the cast are Bianca Melchior as young Fern Landry, Gabriel Hogan as Grayson Goodwin and Dan Jeannotte as Temperance Inspector Cliff Kane in the 1920s timeline.
