Big Love for SCRUBS Revival With Zach Braff: Filmed in Vancouver

Fifteen years on, the Scrubs revival premiere, starring Zach Braff as J.D.,, delivered the top-performing ABC comedy episode, top ABC series debut overall on streaming in over a year and 9 million cross-platform views over seven days.

And got some early love on the Tomatometer as well.

What happened in the premiere?

We learn that J.D. (Zach Braff) has become an unfulfilled concierge doctor for the rich and that he and Elliott (Sarah Chalke) are divorced after having two kids.

When one of J.D.’s wealthy patients is admitted to Sacred Heart, he ends up spending two days at the hospital where Elliot, Turk (Donald Faison) and Carla (Judy Reyes) still work.

J.D. and Turk fall right back into their bromance, e-enacting their signature “Eaaaaaagle!” move in the Sacred Heart halls .

Before collapsing on the floor in pain.

They’re middle-aged men now.

.Dr. Perry Cox (John C. McGinley) persuades J.D. to come back and replace him as Chief of Medicine.

This will be awkward.
