Netflix shares a first look at Sophie Nélisse and co-stars Roby Attal and Francesca Reale filming its adaption of Carley Fortune’s Canadian romance novel This Summer Will be Different on Prince Edward Island .
What’s This Summer Will Be Different about?
Lucy (Sophie Nélisse) is vacationing one summer on Prince Edward Island, and meets Felix (Roby Attal) in an electric, chemistry-filled night. Only one problem: Felix is her best friend Bridget’ (Francesca Reale)”s younger brother. On her annual return trips to P.E.I., Lucy vows to avoid Felix and his bed — easier said than done.
When Bridget rushes home to P.E.I. in crisis a week before her wedding, Lucy can only follow and remind herself to protect her heart, but wonders if she really wants to do that after all.
Filming on Prince Edward Island:
Sophie Nelisse arrived on Prince Edward Island in July after wrapping four seasons in Vancouver as a teen soccer star gone feral in the Emmy-nominated Yellowjackets series.

Local CBC reporters spotted the “TSWBD” film crew seting up at Charlottetown Alexander B. Campbell Airport a week ago.
Production on the” “largest television production ever to come to P.E.I. ” started last Wednesday at the Charlottetown airport.

And at a beach in North Rustico , which was closed for filming.
The next location Basin Head Provincial Park was closed to the public last Thursday..

This Summer Will be Different will spend a month filming on Prince Edward Island and two-and-a-half months filming in Toronto.
