Last night The Last of Us season 3 filmed scenes of Gabriel Luna’s Tommy Miller and Young Mazino’s Jesse with their guns drawn in downtown Vancouver dressed as dystopian Seattle.
Are they about to split up to look for Bella Ramsey’s Ellie, who’s already in Seattle on a path of vengeance against Kaitlyn Dever’s Abby Anderson and her Washington Liberation Front (WLF) crew?
For the first time since The Last of Us Season 3 began filming, Young Mazino and Gabriel Luna have been spotted on set. It looks like they’re filming the scene where they split up in Seattle to look for Ellie.@yvrshootstweets @CaptCanuck66 pic.twitter.com/7ZHdZ3Nx7A

Coincidentally this set on Seymour Street is kitty corner to Vancouver’s Orpheum Theatre which played the Pinnacle Theater in the season 2 cliffhanger — which saw Abby shooting Jesse and holding her gun on Ellie before the show cut to black.

In season 3, The Last of Us loops back to that cliffhanger from Abby’s perspective.
What is The Last of Us?
The Last of Us takes place 20+ years after modern civilization has been destroyed by the Cordyceps fungal pandemic.
In season one, Joel (Pedro Pascal), a hardened survivor, was hired to smuggle Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What started as a small job soon became a brutal and heartbreaking journey as they traversed the U.S. and depended on each other for survival.
Season 2 picked up five years after the events of the first season, with Joel and Ellie living in Jackson, Wyoming but estranged by a lie. Joel’s brutal death at the hands of former Firefly Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) sent Ellie and her friend Dina (Isabela Merced) to Seattle on a path of vengeance against Abby and her Washington Liberation Front (WLF) crew.
Joel’s brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna) and Jackson scout Jesse (Young Mazino) set off later but catch up with Ellie and Dina at the abandoned Pinnacle Theater in Seattle.
This is where Abby finds them, shoots Jesse and holds her gun on Ellie before the show cut to black with the cliffhanger..
Season 3 will change perspective, following Abby on her journey to the confrontation with Ellie and her Jackson crew.
The fans are really going to like it, I think, the shifting perspective onto Abby, getting some more context onto her storyline and going back in time with this season. — — Kaitlyn Dever to Deadline: Hollywood.
Season 3 goes back in time to show us what shaped Abby – her relationship with her father and his death in Salt Lake City, her history with the Washington Liberation Front (WLF) in Seattle and their enemies the Seraphites and later an unlikely alliance with a young Seraphite called Lev (Kyriana Crater) and sister Yara (Michelle Mao).
