I’m back, baby! – J.D.
The Scrubs revival, filming in Vancouver with Zach Braff back as J.D., Donald Faison as Turk and Sarah Chalke as Dr. Elliot Reid, released its first teaser today.
The revival follows Dr. J.D. Dorian (Zach Braff) and Dr. Christopher Turk (Donald Faison), who scrub in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.
The medical dramedy returns to ABC on February 25th with back-to-back episodes.
Fifteen years on, the bromance continues with older J.D. and Turk re-enacting their signature “Eaaaaaagle!” in the Sacred Heart halls, before collapsing on the floor in pain.
What about Nurse Espinosa?
Nurse Espinosa married Turk at the end of Season 3. and the couple are now parents to four teenagers, Judy Reyes revealed on her Instagram.
And John C. McGinley is back as Dr. Perry Cox.
Robert Maschio guest-stars as Dr. Todd ‘The Todd’ Quinlan and Phil Lewis as “Crazy” Hooch.
New characters:
Vanessa Bayer as Sibby, who runs a wellness program for Sacred Heart’s faculty and staff, and Joel Kim Booster as attending physician Dr. Eric Park recur.
The new class of interns includes Ava Bunn as Serena, Jacob Dudman as Asher, David Gridley as Blake, Layla Mohammadi as Amara, and Amanda Morrow as Dashana.
Scrubs originally ran on NBC for seven seasons from 2001 to 2008, and then moved to ABC for two more seasons, from 2009 to 2010.
