Cynthia Erivos gave a speech at the east end of Simon Fraser University’s Convocation Mall for Karoshi a corporate thriller with a samurai twist.
Filmed in Vancouver, Karoshi will be in theatres on February 5th.
KARŌSHI is an action-thriller set in a near-future Manhattan, where corporate loyalty and cultural tradition have reshaped everyday life. When a mysterious outsider infiltrates a powerful company after a worker’s death, he exposes the violent system hidden beneath its polished surface.
Starring Teo Yoo (Past Lives ), Isabel May ( Scream 7 ), Takehiro Hira (Shōgun), Bill Camp (Presumed Innocent), Show Kasamatsu (Tokyo Vice) with Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), and Cynthia Erivo (Wicked).

Karoshi set up at Simon Fraser University under the working title Koi in the summer of 2025, building a spectacular “Tea House” set at the west end of Convocation Mall .
Students and other locals spotted NYC cops and rain towers on the Tea House set overnight.
